Eat
Port Isaac and the surrounding area is a foodie heaven, it’s impossible to list everywhere but here are a few of our personal favourites;
Fee’s
Fee’s is our favourite stop for a coffee and a legendary pastry, or hearty sausage roll. They grow their own veg, get honey from their own bees, and partner with some incredible businesses to supply the rest. Grab yourself a coffee just steps from the harbour.
Nathan Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen
Stroll out of the kitchen and down the hill and you’ll arrive at Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen located within a 15th century fisherman’s cottage on the harbour. Here, they cook a selection of seafood dishes cooked and brought to the table when ready, serving the best fish from the local inshore day boats. It’s a fixed priced seafood menu, enjoyed in the atmosphere of eating with friends.
Nathan Outlaw’s New Road
This is special. Indulge in an exploration of unique seafood preparation and cookery, hailing the wealth of exceptional seafood inhabiting this coastline. Nathan’s vision of offering high-quality, relaxed hospitality and a menu which brings out the best of local seafood and produce was realised with the opening of New Road. It’s cliff top location, overlooking the bay where local fishermen can be seen working, makes it the ideal place to be eating the very best fish and seafood available. Customers are treated as old friends, and despite Michelin star awards, the customer experience remains effortless and relaxing. This is a fixed price menu affair, and be sure to book ahead.
Fresh from the Sea
Calum & Tracey Greenhalgh love fish and enjoy sharing their passion with customers. Calum has his own boat ‘Mary D’ which he takes out daily to catch crab and lobster, bringing his catch up the hill to Fresh from the Sea on New Road.
The Slipway
Located at the bottom of the hill at the harbour, The Slipway has a large outdoor café area and indoor two level restaurant. Offering a broad menu throughout the day and evening to cater for everyone.
Fishmongers
Visit Port Isaac Fisherman Ltd located at the harbour to buy your fresh daily catch to enjoy at home on the BBQ.
The Golden Lion
This characterful old pub is right on the harbour, and serves drinks and refreshments from an outdoor bar during the warmer months. Enjoy a beverage harbourside.
The Old School House
The Old School House building dates from 1875 and was overseen by Cornwall’s most famous architect Silvanus Trevail, who designed around 50 schools around Cornwall. The conversion came in the 1980s and it has been owned by a local family since 2007. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner almost all year round creating delicious dishes using the best Cornish produce from both sea and land. Throughout the afternoon they also serve cream teas, sandwiches and cakes.
