MORTEHOE

PARK COTTAGE

Park Cottage is nestled in the charming coastal village of Mortehoe, known as the gateway to a wild dramatic coast, lined with award winning beaches and steeped in a rich history of shipwrecks and smuggling.

The ultimate coastal escape, this is an idyllic base from which to explore the rugged South West Coast Path and soak up awe-inspiring views.  From the spectacular Morte Point peninsular where you may spot the seals taking respite, to the secret coves jewelled with exotic shells swept in from the Atlantic, across to the long stretching sands of Woolacombe, Putsborough and beyond.   It’s a spectacular combination of coast and country.

Surfing and body-boarding is popular here for beginners and experts alike.  Good times in the waves are guaranteed, and this is undeniably a place you may be tempted to rise with the sun for a sea swim.

Autumn and winter seasons are equally magical and rejuvenating, with October offering perfect sea temperatures.  Return from blustery walks to amber lighting and hunker down by the fire.

Dip in and out here as you wish.  This is a holiday home designed for sheer relaxation.  You decide how sundowner evenings are best spent; with sand between your toes or sat fireside in the garden under the starry skies.

It’s perfect for time to reconnect or unwind as a couple, or fulfil an adventure seeking trip with all the family; either way we promise an immersive break that’s so much more than just a holiday.

The well-stocked kitchen has everything you need and the boho-chic dining area is perfect for romantic dining or long family suppers.

In the cooler seasons the log burner is laid ready and waiting.  Retire to the sofas, dim the lights, and relax together fireside.

The sprawling garden is a wonderful spot for BBQ cooking outside during the warmer months and the colourful dining furniture here invites everyone to pull up a chair and savour the views.

and so to bed… sleep is something we take very seriously.  The sumptuous depths of our beds dressed with egyptian cotton linen lull you to sleep, and the restorative soft tonal hues throughout upstairs are designed for lazy lie-ins, hot showers, or a long soak in the bath.
